  • Designed against MIL-STD-1472
  • MIL-STD-2525-inspired glyphs
  • MIT-licensed primitives (Radix / shadcn)
  • WCAG: never colour alone
  • RTL-ready

One system. Three surfaces.

A single operational language from design file to deployed interface.

React component library

27 tactical components on MIT Radix and shadcn primitives. Unit-tested with Vitest, themed across Day, Night-NVG and Mono.

Figma library

The core component set is mirrored in Figma with matching names, and variables resolve to the same tokens, so design and engineering stay aligned.

Preview in Figma

140 tactical icons

100 Lucide-based glyphs plus 40 bespoke tactical marks for affiliation, mission, sensor and datalink.

Rigour you can audit, not adjectives

Every claim maps to a token, component, state or test you can inspect.

Three modes

Day, Night-NVG and Mono are modes on one Semantic token collection. Switch once and every surface re-themes.

286 design tokens

Primitive and semantic tokens built with Style Dictionary, shipping as CSS variables, a Tailwind preset and Figma-variable JSON. Real system machinery, not a swatch list.

Never colour alone

Every threat and status pairs colour with a shape, glyph or count. Strip the colour in Mono and the meaning still reads.

RTL from the token layer

Right-to-left through CSS logical properties. Coordinates stay LTR-isolated, so tactical digits never bidi-reorder.

Zero hardcoded values

Every property reads a token. Raw values fail code review, which is why retheming never drifts.

AI-ready

The kit ships an agent cheat sheet, a lookup CLI and an MCP server, so Claude Code, Cursor and v0 wire named tokens and components instead of guessing.

Standards boundary

Designed against MIL-STD-1472.

MIL-STD-1472 is the U.S. Department of Defense standard for human-engineering design criteria: control sizing, target areas, legibility and labelling. Operator-Grade is built against those guidelines. They shaped the control heights, contrast targets and shape-coded threat system you see here.

"Designed against" describes the design lineage, not accreditation. Formal compliance remains a separate, auditable program owned by your organisation. The standards-mapping spec documents the reasoning behind each relevant decision.

Tactical surfaces, live in your browser.

No borrowed screenshots. Flip a mode and the whole surface re-themes with no drift.

Never colour alone

Strip the colour in Mono and threat and status still read by shape, glyph and count. The clearest proof that it is domain-correct.

Tactical components, not dashboards

Push-to-talk, signal reticle, COP overlay, mission banner and APP-6 threat indicators. The parts an operator surface actually needs.

Custom Tactical System

Brand integration, custom tokens and components, HMI-specific work. A tactical/C2 system built to your program, not a generic reskin. From $4,000.

The done-for-you tier, built for defense budgets rather than SaaS pricing.

Book a scoping call

Built to withstand code review

No testimonials yet, and none invented. Until operators speak for it, the build record does.

0

Hardcoded values. Every property resolves to a token, and a grep gate fails the build on any raw value.

144

Tests across 38 Vitest files, plus an MCP smoke test, covering behaviour, ARIA wiring and mode switching.

286

Design tokens resolving cleanly across Day, Night-NVG and Mono from one source.

3

Themes from one Semantic collection, verified by stripping colour so meaning survives in Mono.

Straight answers for defense buyers

Is it certified or compliant with a standard?

No. Operator-Grade is designed against MIL-STD-1472, and its glyphs are MIL-STD-2525-inspired. It is not certified or compliant with any standard, and final compliance stays your responsibility. Teams that run a formal program already know the difference. We give you the rationale and the mapping so that review goes faster.

Can I use it in commercial, classified, or air-gapped work?

Yes. Commercial use is allowed under the license, including air-gapped and classified environments. Redistribution or resale of the kit itself is not.

What is a "seat"?

One seat is one person who works with the files. Solo is a single seat, Team covers up to eight, and Enterprise is unlimited.

What is the tech stack?

React and TypeScript on MIT-licensed Radix and shadcn primitives, styled with Style Dictionary tokens. No forced Tailwind. The Figma library mirrors the core component set with matching names and token bindings.

Do I get updates?

Yes. Every paid tier includes lifetime updates at no extra cost.

Refunds?

Try the free Lite tier first to be sure it fits. Refunds on paid tiers are handled through the storefront checkout. If something is wrong with your order, email hello@operator-grade.design and we will sort it out.

Can I use it to build a competing kit?

No. Using Operator-Grade to create a competing design system or component kit for redistribution is prohibited.
